Canucks winger Derek Dorsett expects his former teammate to receive a warm welcome on Tuesday.

“He was a heart-and-soul guy, and I didn’t think playing against him for so many years that we would be good buddies,” Dorsett said Monday. “You look at his story. The amount of games he played in the NHL but also professionally in the AHL and ECHL.

“I’m sure it will show here Tuesday with a (video) tribute and I’m sure there will be a lot of Burrows jerseys in the stands.”

Shaka Toney had two sacks, and the balanced Nittany Lions (6-0, 3-0 Big Ten) came away with an easy victory. For all the attention their offense got coming off a Big Ten championship, the defense and special teams continue to do their part, too.

“We still have a lot of work to do,” coach James Franklin said. “I think our team is playing with a lot of confidence right now, especially in our secondary and on the defensive side of the ball. We have some things that we’ve got to get better at and we’ve got to improve. But I think we’re in an ideal situation.”

The Predators went with Juuse Saros instead of Pekka Rinne, the franchise’s winningest goaltender. Saros, who earned his first NHL win last October against Pittsburgh, stopped 30 shots. Rinne was 0-3 on the road during the Stanley Cup and is 0-6-0 with an .822 save US Cheap Jerseys Club percentage Wholesale Cheap Jerseys lifetime in Pittsburgh.

“You have to find ways to win,” forward Ryan Johansen said of the Predators’ 0-2 start. “It’s only two games, but we’re behind the eight ball.”
